SERVICE INDUSTRY TECHNICAL SKILLS

In this workshop, Sájari teaches you the technical skills needed for success in the service industry, including communication, problem-solving, and time management. This course is designed for both novice and experienced service industry workers, including bartenders, restaurant workers, managers, and hotel staff. 

Participants will leave with:

CUSTOMER PERSONALITY TYPES

This workshop highlights the different personality types of customers typically encountered in the service industry. This is a fun and interactive course, with plenty of role-playing and mock encounters. The course is geared towards service industry professionals who interact with customers as a consistent part of their job.

  • Confidence in their ability to interact with high-end customers.
  • Ability to identify what different customer profiles value in their experience.
  • Understanding of different conversation topics.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION WHEN THE KITCHEN IS HOT

Things don’t always go right when working in hospitality. When conflict arises, you need the skills to work through and resolve these problems. In this workshop, we role-play examples of a variety of situations involving conflict that arise on a day-to-day basis in the service industry. Anyone working in hospitality can benefit from this course because no one is immune to conflict!

Participants will leave with the following:

  • Practice resolving high-stress conflicts.
  • Non-violent communication skills.
  • A deeper empathy for others’ personal struggles.

COCKTAIL CRAFTING WORKSHOPS

Cocktails, cocktails, cocktails! People love cocktails, and you need to know how to make the list of classics quickly, effectively, and deliciously! Sájari offers workshops on basic classic cocktails as well as bespoke workshops focusing on: high-end cocktails, margaritas, martinis, whiskies, gins, and even her specialty — spiked milkshakes. Expect to learn how to craft some delicious drinks, and have some fun along the way.

BRIDGING THE GAP:

HOW TO SPEAK TO CHILDREN

It’s 2023, and children must be part of the conversation on diversity for us to move forward as a society. In this interactive course, Sájari teaches adults how to have difficult conversations with their children relating to equality and racial justice. This course is designed for parents, teachers, and people who work with kids.

Participants will leave with:

  • Tools needed to “bridge the gap” with their children.
  • Confidence in ability to facilitate conversations.
  • Understanding of children’s cognitive capabilities at every age.
  • Self-reflection techniques.
  • Methods to improve their children’s communities

THE COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY OF RACIAL JUSTICE

In this workshop, we discuss the psychology and mental processes associated with racism, exclusion, and social revolution in America. This approach helps eliminate ‘white guilt’ and allows for true reflection.

Racial bias is deep within our society no matter our background or ethnicity. This course is designed to shed light on some of the underlying beliefs that we carry with us, in order to actively change them. We’ll gently explore potential blindspots, fight against feelings of guilt, and inspire a more equal future.

Participants will leave with:

  • Understanding the social and psychological shifts needed for racial justice.
  • Tools to improve their company culture.
  • Ability to amplify voices of oppressed people.
  • Tactics to identify one’s own blind spots.
  • A deeper understanding of their own implicit bias.

GROUP INTERCULTURAL DIVERSITY INVENTORY WORKSHOP

Intercultural Competence is critical for working and living effectively with people from different cultures. Groups will leave the workshop with intercultural development plans to push the needle forward towards effective change.

This layered workshop comprises of 4 stages.

  • Educate all participants on the IDI tool and its benefits
  • Implement the workshop with the executive team members via
    assessment and individual debriefs
  • Implement with other staff members the assessment and individual
    debriefs
  • Ongoing support with the personalized intercultural development plans
    (optional)

This workshop is perfect for groups or teams, workplace employees or management staff.

    BUILDING YOUR PERSONAL SOCIAL JUSTICE INITIATIVE

    What can you do about racism and inequality? A lot of Americans are feeling the weight of social injustice in our society, but lack the tools and information to do anything about it. In this workshop, we work through your motivation and purpose for participating in the social justice movement and come up with a personal plan to be a part of the solution. We dive into business plans, conversation tools, branding, and more.

    Participants will leave with:

    • Brand positioning and messaging that align with social justice initiatives.
    • Tools to facilitate a company culture that is built on equality.
    • Ways to host company meetings in ways that amplify oppressed voices.
    • External and internal brand materials to help communicate social justice projects.
