The services detailed below are tailored to an organization but services also available on an individual level.

Creating a diverse and non-discriminatory workplace is more critical than ever to the success of your organization. Gen Z, who is just 56% white, is now entering the workforce as the most diverse generation to date. Forward-thinking businesses are adopting the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) to assist in creating an inclusive company that adapts to the needs of people of different cultures and backgrounds.

IDI was created as a reliable and generalized metric for the intercultural competence of an individual or organization. The IDI is a 50-item questionnaire designed to assess you or your group’s current ability to shift perspective and adapt to differences. The purpose of IDI application is to facilitate growth and inspire change in ways that improve people’s intercultural competence and bridge cultural differences. Successful application results in strengthened relationships and a culture that is more vibrant, equal, and just.

Sájari offers professional IDI services for both individuals and groups. These services are designed to assess your current status, and help you or your organization grow into an inclusive, more open-minded part of our world. The types of services offered are highlighted below:

OPTION 1 – DEBRIEFING

This service is an hour long debriefing session to take place after the completion of the IDI questionnaire. This debriefing includes analysis, feedback, and conversation about the results, as well as actions you can take to improve and grow. This service is offered for individuals who have taken the IDI, and for groups where everyone has already received individual debriefing.

OPTION 2 – COACHING

Taking the IDI is just the first step in becoming an interculturally competent individual or group.  The information learned in the IDI assessment needs to be incorporated into everyday actions. In many cases, there is a need for additional involvement beyond the debrief to achieve sustained growth. Sájari offers long-term IDI coaching services to help with this endeavor.

Individual Coaching – Receiving 1 on 1 coaching is an excellent method for continued personal development on your journey. These consistent meetings will help you keep short-term commitments you make to yourself in order to reach your IDI goals. Additional IDI assessments can be used to track your improvement. Individual coaching sessions are offered in 4-month, 6-month, and year-long packages at a great value.

For organizations and groups desiring to create a more inclusive, vibrant, and equal workplace, group IDI coaching is an amazing option.

These group settings help instill a sense of camaraderie and purpose in the team and are a great way to keep your team moving towards a shared goal. Group coaching is offered as a quarter, semester, and year-long course.

OPTION 3 – PROGRAM AUDIT

For programs in need of the highest level of involvement, Sájari offers a program-wide audit to assess the program as a whole, and develop a plan to address racism and bias issues. This includes interviews and assessments of staff members and leaders. Workshops for training both higher and lower-level employees to function as a homogenous, harmonious machine.

Carefully create future planning to help the company facilitate difficult conversations, amplify oppressed voices, and continue anti-discrimination practices. Sájari works with company leadership to develop a deep awareness of brand positioning within its industry, aligning external assets with no-tolerance policies. This is the first step in attracting a more diverse workforce and finding qualified people of color to fill positions. Sájari also trains hiring managers and HR personnel to identify confirmation biases and blindspots in interviewing processes.

Through these sessions, you’ll leave with:

  • Confidence navigating difficult and racially tense situations in and out of the workplace.
  • Nonviolent communication tools that help you facilitate conversations and amplify black voices.
  • Ability to initiate team-building exercises to continue to build empathy and fight inequality.
  • Internal and external branding assets that align with anti-racism movements.
  • Tools to help individuals self-reflect and discover their own blindspots without initiating “white guilt”.
  • Forward-thinking initiatives help position your company as a zero-tolerance establishment, enabling you to build a positive reputation and legally protect yourself.
  • A newfound empathy and appreciation for personal experiences create a more harmonious work environment where people feel nourished.
